I have always loved oriental art, especially the paintings of spring cherry blossom with faded backgrounds. I have this tree growing in my garden and it is the first to flower in spring. I set about taking several macro images of the delicate pink blossom, followed by a few of the twisted stems and branches, with a view to combining the two images in Adobe Photoshop.
