I love flowers, but I adore Ranunculus . The carpels and stamens in the centre of the flower look like exquisite embroidery and I constantly try to capture their beauty.

I've taken hundreds and hundreds of photographs of Ranunculus  flowers. Every year when they come out I find a new angle or a new reason to grab the camera. Many of my photographs become firm favourites, but there's something about this one which just entrances me.
