After spending a few magical hours in Black-a-Tor Copse (an ancient high-altitude Oak woodland) I started the walk along the West Okement River back to the car. A few remnants of the forest remain next to the river and I came across this beautiful wind-blown oak, which was just revealing its autumn colours.
