Description

As a photographer, I enjoy visiting accessible public gardens and parks to capture snapshots during quiet moments. In this image I used a ground perspective to present a unified reflective pool and sky separated by ginkgo trees and the backlit ‘The Voices of Disabled Veterans’ wall.

To me, the visual elements of the memorial symbolise a human wholeness that does not change with the onset of physical disability. I believe that not many know of the existence of this memorial, and given its beauty and importance, I wanted to tell the story as intended by its designers and creators.
